Anesis Hotel
A hotel recognizing its social and environmental responsibility as a business
The Anesis Hotel is a luxurious and sustainable stay in the picturesque city of Ayia Napa, Cyprus. With various initiatives, the hotel promotes sustainability and social responsibility, allowing for a lower carbon footprint and a higher standard of ethical behavior.
By maintaining its equipment correctly, training its employees, and incorporating the latest technology and ideas into its operations, the hotel has set targets to reduce its energy and water consumption.
The hotel team says, “As a hotel, we recognize tourism's impact on the natural environment and our community. With this in mind, we have adopted a number of policies and procedures to ensure that we minimize our harmful effects on the environment and support our community.”
In order to limit waste, the hotel purchases in bulk to prevent excess packaging. The team also uses minimal paper and plastic for customers and recycles all glass, paper, cardboard, oils, plastic, and food waste.
The hotel team believes in giving back to the local community by donating items such as furniture and linen that are no longer suitable for use within the hotel. Other ways it contributes to the local community include in-kind support, sponsorship of regional sports teams, and offering meeting spaces at reduced or no cost.
