The management team takes active steps to reduce their environmental impact by using energy efficient lighting, eco-friendly cleaning products and microfiber cloths which reduces the amount of detergents needed. The hotel has been certified by Green Key in recognition of its commitment to sustainability. 

In addition, they take an active stand against Human Trafficking. Their staff is trained to detect suspected illegal sex work and establish routines on how to act and when to call the police. 

Social responsibility is of utmost importance at the Freys Hotel, and every year, with the help of Ersta diakoni, they provide vulnerable people with a bit of comfort during the holiday season. This means a warm bed, a Christmas present, a Christmas meal, a cozy seasonal atmosphere and a generous buffet breakfast.
